If you follow the normal cadence, you will finish in 4 months. If you can invest more time into your daily study process, you can complete the course in as short as 2 months.

THE KNOWLEDGE, TOOLS AND SKILLS TO PASS THE GREEN BELT EXAM
The Green Belt Body of Knowledge has 6 major pillars, which are included in this course, and you’ll learn all about:
- Overview – Before we jump into the DMAIC process, we start with an overview of how six sigma and lean both fit into the organizations vision and goals, along with the Design for Six Sigma process.
- Define – Here in the define phase of DMAIC you’ll learn how to define your problem to be solved or your project to be accomplished This includes project identification, capturing the voice of the customer and project management basic. This pillar also includes many tools used throughout the DMAIC process along with a chapter on business results and how to successfully lead and manage teams.
- Measure – Here in the measure phase of DMAIC you’ll learn how to measure your problem, process or product. This includes process analysis tools like flow charts and work instructions. This also captures probability, statistics, statistical distributions, measurement system analysis (Gauge R&R) and process capability.
- Analyze – Here in the analyze phase of DMAIC you’ll learn how to analyze the data that you’ve collected, including multi-vari analysis, linear regression and hypothesis testing.
- Improve – Here in the improve phase of DMAIC you’ll learn how to make improvements to your products and processes through Design of Experiments (DOE) along with root cause analysis and lean tools for process improvement.
- Control – Here in the final phase of DMAIC, you’ll learn the common tools and concepts for controlling your process. This includes statistical process control (control charts), control plans and lean tools for process control.

THIS COURSE WAS CREATED WITH NON-ENGINEERS IN MIND
Becoming a Green Belt does not require that you start out with an engineering degree itself. Truth be told, those of you who are engineers will have a leg up on some of the more complex statistics.
However, I created the statistics material under the assumption that you’re NOT already an engineer!
